  • Destinations: Kasane, Chobe National Park, Savute Channel, Moremi Game Reserve, Okavango Delta, Maun

Come and witness the abundant wildlife of the Chobe region, renowned for its huge herds of elephant. Learn about Botswana's enigmatic river while staying within the Savute ecosystem. Set out in search of endangered wild dog while staying at Camp Moremi, and perhaps spot an elusive Sitatunga while staying at Camp Okavango.

Days 1 - 2: Chobe National Park

Upon arrival at Kasane airport you will be met by a tour representative who will assist you in your road transfer to Chobe Game Lodge. Enjoy two nights at the lodge in the Chobe National Park, overlooking the Chobe River and the Caprivi floodplains, on a fully inclusive basis.

Awake at the crack of dawn as you prepare for an exhilarating morning game drive in an open 4x4 safari vehicle. View large numbers of a wide range of species, including zebra, red lechwe, giraffe, and Chobe bushbuck, in an arm's reach. Organized walks in Lesoma Valley and Kasuma Pan can be organized between April and October.

Spend the morning game viewing in a maneuverable motorboat, or watch the sun disappear into a horizontal blanket on a Sunset cruise on the Chobe River in the double decker 'Mosi oa Tunya' riverboat.

Days 3 - 4: Savute Channel

Today you will be transferred to Kasane Airport for your charter out of the Delta to Savute Safari Lodge. Enjoy two nights at the lodge, situated on the banks of the Savute channel, part of the dynamic Savute eco system renowned for its large concentration of elephant and large lion prides, on a fully inclusive basis.

The lodge, due to its remote location, has no personal communication services for its guests and all outside communication needs to take place from the reception. This adds a rush of excitement and allows for utmost privacy for guests. Enjoy permanent viewing of the Savute ecosystem as each suite has a private viewing deck, and approach the main lodge viewing deck to view game at the water hole.

Game drives by open 4x4 safari vehicles in the Savute area, including the Savute Marsh. Between November and December, and again between February and April, the large concentrations of zebras migrate in search of ripe grasslands. This zebra migration is the second largest in Africa and promises to be an event worth attending.

Visit the Gubatsa Hills - a rocky outcrop formed on a flat landscape - to see the ancient San rock paintings. Skilled tour guides will explain the history behind this ancient form of communication. Draw close to the heat of the campfire where nature's noises provide an escape from the bush's silence.

Days 5 - 6: Moremi Game Reserve

Today you will be transferred by road to Savute's airstrip for your charter flight to Camp Moremi. The adventurous flight often lands at bush landing strips to pick up passengers en route. A mini game drive delivers you to Camp Moremi.

Enjoy two nights at Camp Moremi, situated on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon on the eastern side of the Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Game Reserve, on a fully inclusive basis. The safari tents are adorned in East African detail and have private sun decks.

Wander around the Moremi Game Reserve on foot alongside a knowledgeable guide or on a game drive in an open 4x4 safari vehicle. The fauna and flora will amaze you as it's drenched in diversity - from predators to birds, and from floodplains to islands to riverine forests. Explore the Xakanaxa Lagoon and surrounding Okavango channels by motorboat, which affords excellent bird watching opportunities and a chance to examine the unique plant life.

Days 7 - 8: Okavango Delta

Today you will board a scenic flight from the Moremi Airstrip to Okavango Airstrip. A lodge representative will welcome you and transport you to Camp Okavango. The next two nights will be spent on the remote Nxaragha Island in a luxury safari tent, on a fully inclusive basis. Indulge in an island lifestyle when you spend your days lounging in a hammock or viewing wildlife from a sun-deck. Guided nature walks on the various islands afford an opportunity to track some of the larger species that inhabit this water wilderness.

Flow into the heart of the Okavango in a traditional canoe, or mokoro, operated by a guide with knowledge of the reed-lined water channels. Get lost in a maze of papyrus and emerge with photographs of this unforgettable experience. Another water-based activity is a sunset cruise - where you can bask in the African heat, sip sun-downers and daydream into a view of hippos frolicking in the water. Fly-fishing opportunities are also available for those who want to capture experiences of the species that reside beneath the water.
