Loisaba Tented Camp
Laikipia, Kenya

Guests see Africa as it was before fences were invented on a Kenya safari at Loisaba Tented Camp, where there are no game park rules, no caged animals and none of the constraints of western life.

The Kenya Safari Experience

  • Excellent game viewing
  • Beautiful views of Laikipia plains and Mount Kenya
  • Fabulous activities to keep you busy
  • Perfect for photographers

Loisaba is a serene and life-enhancing haven for wildlife and visitors on the border of Laikipia and the rugged Northern Frontier District in Kenya. This is one of the best areas to see Elephant and other sought after big game such as Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Hippo, Cheetah and Beisa Oryx on a Kenya safari.

Living alongside this abundance of game are the rare northern species that thrive here - Gerenuk, Grevy's Zebra and reticulated Giraffe. It is a setting little changed since the Great Rift valley split Africa in two, creating the escarpment. Wildlife wonders freely and undisturbed by the incursions of the twenty first century.

The view from Loisaba Tented Camp extends to Mount Kenya, the Lolldaiga Hills and the Mathews Range. Only a few miles from the equator, this private game ranch is in a country of transcendent beauty where the farm management and the local Laikipia Maasai and Samburu community work together to preserve the environment and the wildlife that abounds.

On a Kenya safari, highly qualified guides are always on hand to take guests on bush picnics, or spectacular day and night game drives in custom-built Land Rovers, around the 60,000 acres of Loisaba Wilderness. On walks through the bush with a Maasai host, visitors discover the hidden life of the African savannah. For close encounters, humans on horseback safaris are accepted as a regular part of the environment.
