Lewa Wilderness is a stunning and exciting wildlife conservancy. There is so much to see and do on your Kenya wildlife safari.

There are day and night game drives, bush walks, sundowners, educational talks on the history and day to day operation of the conservancy, visits to a pre-historic archaeological site and game blinds on this Kenya vacation. Bird enthusiasts can marvel at more than four hundred identified bird species, some rare, others abundant, it's very beautiful.

The beautiful countryside at the foot of Mount Kenya, has some of the best Kenya wildlife safari viewing in Africa, 3 endangered species are being protected - Rhino, Grevy's Zebra, Sitatunga. There is a major commitment to community development and participation. You will be in absolute privacy and exclusivity on your Kenya vacation.

Game viewing can be done day and night in open 4WD vehicles, on horseback, on camels or on an escorted bush walk. You can partake in some of the farm and craft tours, go swimming, play tennis, jogging for the active and flights to Lake Rutundu on Mount Kenya for trout fishing.

Guests to Lewa House have the opportunity to be involved in a living and dynamic conservation operation and are always encouraged to visit and engage in the conservation activities. Conservation orientated activities, include visits to Lewa supported schools; visits to water schemes and other community development activities; days or half days out with the research department learning about Lewa's Rhino and Grevy Zebra projects.

You can also accompany the tracker dogs on daily training / exercise; accompanying the Lion trackers to get data on Lewa's resident Lion project. You can also take trips to the adjoining Ngare Ndare forest to look for the elusive Colobus Monkey population and to learn about the indigenous flora and its local uses.
