Getting to Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, Nakuru

Sarova Lion Hill Lodge is situated in Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya, at the heart of the Great Rift Valley.

Guests can enjoy a 2-hour drive from Nairobi or take a 30 minute internal flight followed by a 30-minute transfer through the Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya to Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Lion Hill Lodge is set on an elevated plateau above the lake amongst beautifully landscaped gardens containing a startling variety of flowers. For complete safety and security, this Kenya accommodation is surrounded by an electric fence.

Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya was created in 1968 to protect the huge flocks of over a million lesser flamingos that breed and nest at the edge of the lake, giving it the characteristic pink rim. Lake Nakuru National Park is located at an altitude of 4000-5767 feet (1200-1800 metres) above sea level.

How to get there

Sarova Lion Hill Lodge is 160km (100 miles) from Nairobi. After a short flight from Nairobi to the park airstrip, guests enjoy a 30 minute scenic drive to the lodge.

There is a good tarmac road from Nairobi and the journey takes about 2 hours.
