What sets this park apart is the incredible variety of wildlife in large numbers during the peak season. Thousands of Elephant converge on Tarangire, but they are not alone. You'll see plenty of Wildebeest, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Thompson's and Grant's Gazelles, Eland plus Greater and Lesser Kudu.Tarangire is also one of the very few places where you could spot the Long-necked Gerenuk and Fringe-eared Oryx, which are both dry country antelope species. With such a bounty of hoofed animals come the predators such as Lion, Leopard and Cheetah.For birding enthusiasts, the swamps provide a hotspot for observing one of the greatest diversities in breeding birds in the world. Endemic species include the Ashy Starling, Yellow-collared Lovebird and Rufous-tailed Weaver.Tarangire National Park Highlights

Lake Barunge Tented Camp - is located on a private Maasai conservancy on the lakeshore, which is about 10 minutes drive from Tarangire National Park.
Maramboi Tented Camp - is a permanent tented camp within a private Maasai conservancy and situated in the migratory corridor between Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Park.
