Position of Royal Mara Safari Lodge, Masai Mara

Often referred to as one of the seven natural wonders of the world and one of the most spectacular wildlife sanctuaries, the incredible Masai Mara in Kenya is home to the Royal Mara Lodge.

The Royal Mara Safari Lodge is situated in one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world, and home to the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration - the Masai Mara, Kenya. Located in the Mara North Conservancy, this Kenya safari lodge witnesses the river crossings of the Great Migration.

Here, wildlife roams freely with no boundaries, fences or walls restricting the mass movement of animals. The Royal Mara is situated on the Mara River, the ideal spot to witness the comings and goings of Africa's most famous wildlife, including the Big Five.

How to get there

By Air

Flights to the Masai Mara take between 40 minutes and 1 hour and are available daily from Wilson Airport in Nairobi. Landing at the private airstrip of the Royal Mara, guests will be met by a lodge representative and taken on a road transfer of 10 minutes to the Kenya safari lodge.

Coastal flights from Diani Beach, Mombasa, Malindi and Lamu are also available.

By Road

The Royal Mara is also accessible by road from Nairobi via Narok town. This is a 6 hour overland journey over the B3 tarmac highway and the C13 unpaved road. This is a scenic drive, but also bumpy on the C13 road. The air flight connections are therefore recommended.
