On Kenya Safari at Malu Farm

Located in an ancient cedar forest with sweeping views over the Great Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha, Malu Farm offers a magical encounter with Africa on a Kenya safari, where Zebra, Buffalo and Leopard roam. On the 1800 acre private forest reserve not too far from Nairobi, guests are free walk and ride through one of East Africa's original highland forests.

Adults on a Kenya safari love Malu for its space and tranquillity, and especially the opportunities for seeing flora and fauna without being trapped in a vehicle. Children love Malu for its opportunities of contact with the physical world - swinging on vines, jumping over streams and searching the forest for Colobus monkeys.

Malu is the last remaining indigenous cedar forest on the eastern rift between Longonot and Nakuru, and is recognized as an area of vital importance to the fragile ecosystem of the Naivasha basin. With a huge variety of indigenous trees, plants, birds and butterflies, Malu is also home to many Leopard and large numbers of Black and White Colobus and Syke's monkeys, Bushbuck and Dikdik.

Other creatures that can be seen include Hyena, Bushpig, Warthog, Serval cat, Aardvark, Porcupine, Mongoose, and Spring and African Hares. Guests can even see Bob, a male Zebra who lives amongst the farm horses and has adopted them as his herd. Favourite safari activities include night game drives, sundowners, bush breakfasts and bird watching.

Malu Farm is the perfect getaway and stopover en-route to the Masai Mara as well as Nakuru, Baringo, Bogoria and the Aberdares. Guests will find plenty to experience at Malu and in the evenings they can relax by the blazing fire, while the Italian-trained chef uses the finest, freshest ingredients to prepare a beautiful meal.
