Chintheche Inn is a relaxing place where you can lounge in the sun and do nothing very much, or enjoy a range of exciting water sports.
Guests on their Malawi safari can spend a day exploring the inlets of the lake in a ten-seater wooden fishing boat. You can observe the nearby fishermen at work. Alternatively you can go snorkelling and explore the fascinating aquatic life of the lake. Lake Malawi is world famous for the diversity of its fish; there are over 500 species of brightly coloured Cichlids alone. There is snorkelling equipment available for the guests to use.
Another exciting excursion is to explore the region by mountain biking through some of the prettiest villages in Malawi, or going on a two hour cultural tour by visiting a local village. The bird watching in the region is fantastic and avid birders are sure to see many different species. A great way to see them is on a guided walk led by an experienced guide.
There is a wide variety of water sports on offer, from sailing in an Optimist dingy or a Hobby Cat boat. Those looking for more of a challenge can learn how to windsurf. For a more relaxed activity, why not paddle gently round the bay in a paddle ski. Some of Chintheche Inn activities and attractions are miles of pristine beach, a large swimming pool, bird watching, visits to local villages, paddle skiing, windsurfing, sailing and fishing.
