The Okonjima Nature Reserve lies halfway between Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, and the world-famous Etosha National Park. This ideal location creates the perfect base from which to plan additional excursions during your Namibia vacation.
Wildlife species that can be spotted during game-viewing activities at Okonjima Plains Camp include aardvark, gemsbok, giraffe, impala, kudu, mongoose, porcupine, wildebeest, zebra, leopard and cheetah.

A gravel road of 10km awaits after turning off the B1 towards the nature reserve’s entrance gate. Another 14 – 16km of gravel road leads you to the camp. Please call ahead to confirm road conditions during the summer months.
A private airstrip is located a short drive from the camp, and flights can be arranged for arrival or departure.
