Safarihoek Lodge
Etosha National Park, Namibia

If you're drawn to those stunning Namibian desert-scapes and breathtaking wildlife sightings, Safarihoek Lodge, bordering the Etosha National Park, is just the place for you.

If you're looking to conquer Namibia's Etosha National Park, look no further than Safarihoek Lodge. This Etosha lodge is set on a private reserve on the southern edge of the Etosha National Park. What really makes it stand out from all other lodges in the area, is how it is perfectly elevated to enhance the surrounding views.

The main lodge area boasts a large swimming pool with a shaded sun terrace running the entire length of the deck. Inside, an elegant dining room, cosy lounge and bar complete the relaxed ambience and pleasant atmosphere. Once here, steal a quick moment to use the Wi-Fi, if you need.

Aside from its elevated position, another of the most Safarihoek's unique features is its sunken air-conditioned wine lounge. What we love most about it is the gigantic windows opening out onto the horizon. Even if you're not a wine-lover, you'll find yourself seated here purely for the view. The circular stone fire-pit is also to be admired. It is possibly the best place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink before tucking in to a hearty meal served right under the stars.

When it comes to game-viewing activities at this Etosha accommodation – lion and elephant are the main attractions. You can see as you stroll out on informative bush walks and 4x4 game drives, through the Etosha National Park landscape. Dynamic and varied, it is dominated by flat savannah, Mopani woodland and riverine forest, salt pans and dolomite hills. Avid Photographer? Head to the split-level viewing hide at the waterhole with a charging station, day beds, refrigerator, and ledge for camera support. How great is that!?

Why We Love it and You Will Too

  • For that no-frills Namibian safari experience, Safarihoek Lodge offers a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with top-notch accommodation. The main lodge with swimming pool, outdoor boma and elevated deck overlooks the rolling plains of Etosha.
  • The split-level viewing hide beside the waterhole is a great place to watch, and photograph the constant stream of visiting animals.
  • Look forward to guided bush walks and all-day game drives into Etosha. With game viewing as good as this, particularly during the dry winter season, you'll be snapping up new holiday pics of mountain zebra, elephants, kudu, sable, black-faced impala, giraffe and other favourites in no time!
  • Take your pick from comfortable standard chalets or the larger luxury chalets which feature en-suite bathrooms with both indoor and outdoor showers.
  • As an eco-friendly Etosha lodge, Safarihoek is entirely powered by a solar system, with 220-volt charging facilities and backup generators. It even has its own water bottling plant, using water from a deep dolomite source and the drinking water is pure and A-graded.
