This unique eco-tourist destination, situated in the lower Shire Valley of Malawi, invites guests to help conserve and protect the environment while on safari in majestic Malawi. Thawale Lodge is in the Majete Wildlife Reserve, a 70 km drive from the Blantyre Chileka International Airport and the renowned Lake Malawi.

Accommodation is in one of six Thawale tented chalets including a family chalet. These Majete Wildlife Reserve accommodation features modern room amenities including showers, twin or double beds, baths, toilets and as a treat, immaculate views of the glistening waterhole which attracts wildlife.

For a true rustic bush experience, Thawale Lodge has a community campsite that features barbecue areas, a bar and dining area, and the campsite is powered by solar energy.

Guests staying at Thawale Lodge can embark on exciting game viewing adventures on a magnificent Majete Wildlife Reserve safari in Malawi. The reserve is responsible for reintroducing 13 species of wildlife back into the area, namely Elephant, Black Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo, Eland, Sable, and over 300 species of Birdlife.
