Location of Rubondo Island Camp, Lake Victoria

Located in the Rubondo Island National Park, the undisturbed ecosystem housing Rubondo Island Camp is surrounded by Lake Victoria, Tanzania.

Situated close to the rolling savannah plains of the Serengeti, Rubondo Island is the ideal location for a pre- or post-safari adventure. Only a short 20 minutes from the nearest airstrip, Rubondo Airstrip, the lodge is secluded enough to enjoy a peaceful break and close enough to board a departing flight.

Lake Victoria is recognized as the second largest lake in the world, and in combination with a 28km long surface of forest area, Rubondo Island is formed. Sharing its waters with Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya, Lake Victoria is a fisherman’s paradise. In Tanzania’s southwest corner of the lake, Rubondo Island enjoys an untouched part of paradise.
