The Ruaha River joins up with the Rufiji River in the Selous National Park and they continue their journey to the Indian Ocean as one.
Priding itself as the best game area of Ruaha, Kigelia Ruaha in Tanzania is the ideal place to pursue wildlife cravings. Watch as the buffalo graze the plains or as a pride of lions laze in the African sun. Seek comfort in the shade of the indigenous baobab trees that add majestic character to the arid landscaping.
Nearest airstrip: Msembe, Ruaha National Park. Ruaha is accessed by daily flights from Arusha (flights from the Serengeti and Manyara connect to this flight also), Dar and the Selous. There are daily flights out of Ruaha to the Selous, Dar (connecting onwards to Zanzibar and Mafia), and the Serengeti. Ruaha also features on the twice weekly flight schedule linking southern Tanzania with western Tanzania: flights operate on Monday and Thursday mornings to and from Katavi and Mahale National Parks.
