What to expect from this 8 day Exclusive Botswana Encounters Safari Experience:
Once your flight arrives in Maun, you will be transferred to Maun Lodge. Here you can relax in one of the peaceful and luxurious rooms. The warm and inviting décor welcomes you to rest, so that you are ready for the days ahead.
Next is the romantic and exclusive Camp Okavango; situated on the remote Nxaragha Island in the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta, you can enjoy water wilderness experience.
From Camp Okavango, you will spend 2 nights at Camp Moremi. The camp accommodates guests in East African-style safari tents, individually situated on raised teak platforms. While on safari you have the chance to see the mighty Hippo or the magnificent African Crocodiles.
The only permanent game lodge situated within the Chobe National Park, Chobe Game Lodge is Botswana's premier venue for guests looking for a perfect base to explore the Chobe National Park. The resident professional guides offer star gazing and guided walks within the game-fenced area. Your last 2 days are spent here.

Day 1: Maun Lodge, BotswanaUpon your arrival in Maun, on the start of your Southern Africa Safari, and after clearing Botswana customs and immigration, you will be met by a representative and assisted onto your scheduled road transfer to Maun Lodge.
Situated along the banks of the Thamalakane River in maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta, Maun Lodge offers you luxury accommodation, banqueting and conference facilities and personal service at affordable prices.

Days 2 & 3: Camp Okavango, BotswanaYou will be transferred via road to Maun Airport, in time for your scheduled charter flight to Camp Okavango. Camp Okavango is situated on the remote Nxaragha Island in the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta, assuring a year-round Botswana Safari water wilderness experience.
Camp Okavango's unashamed luxury blends with the Africa of old in the elegant thatch and lethaka main lodge buildings. The dining room leads onto an expansive open-air patio for evenings around the open boma.

All game-viewing activities are conducted by experienced professional guides and include exploring the Okavango by canoe (mokoro) and motorboat. Guided nature walks on the various islands afford an opportunity to track some of the larger species that inhabit this water wilderness.

Days 4 & 5: Camp Moremi, BotswanaAfter an early breakfast you will depart from Camp Okavango to Camp Moremi with a boat trip (3 hours) through the intricate channels of the remote wilderness of the Okavango Delta. You will enjoy this totally different game viewing experience on your Botswana Safari.
Stop on one of the islands for coffee and biscuits along the way - you will see the change in the landscape and stop for game viewing when you find animals on the banks of the river, keeping an eye out for Hippos and Crocodiles in the channels.

Camp Moremi accommodates only 22 guests in East African-style safari tents, individually situated on raised teak platforms. Each tent is exquisitely furnished with an African teak wardrobe, luggage rack, dressing table, bedside pedestals and traditional director's chairs.

Days 6 & 7: Chobe Game Lodge, BotswanaAfter breakfast and your morning Botswana Safari activity (if time allows) you will depart on a charter flight from Camp Moremi to Kasane Airport. Upon arrival at Kasane Airport, you will be met by a representative and be transferred via road to Chobe Game Lodge.

The lodge can accommodate up to 100 people in total luxury, offering a choice of land or water activities and the most complete game experience in the Chobe area.
Game drives are conducted in open sided 4x4 vehicles ensuring maximum visibility, while game viewing on the Chobe River is conducted by small, shallow draft and highly maneuverable boats piloted by expert boatmen.

Day 8: DepartAfter breakfast, you will be transferred via boat to the Kasane Jetty, where you will be met by a representative and transferred via road to Vic Falls Safari Lodge, Zimbabwe, Vic Falls.
You will be transferred via Kazangula border post. The journey is approximately 70km from the Botswana border where you will have to complete immigration and customs procedures on both sides.

Please Note:All charters have been booked on a seat on charter basis. Due to the nature of travel in light aircraft, mainly because of safety and space concerns, baggage is restricted to 12 kilograms (26 pounds), per person. This baggage must be soft sided so to allow for it to be packed properly.
If you do have extra bags or have suitcases heavier than the specified allowance, please advise your travel consultant as soon as the booking is made so that the needed arrangements can be made for the baggage to be transferred or stored at an additional cost.

Camp Okavango
|
Camp Okavango is the perfect base from which to explore the Okavango Delta. Excursions on a Mokoro are quiet and a great way to encounter the elusive Sitatunga antelope as well as the many bird species that inhabit the Okavango.

Sumptuous Candlelit Meals
|
Back at the lodge, dinner is a sumptuous candlelit affair. For starters, there is stuffed mushrooms before the main course of beef fillet and sweet potatoes sprinkled with cinnamon. Dessert is a delicious banana pudding and fresh fruit salad.
