At this Tanzania lodge, the front of the banda is totally open and extends on to a spacious veranda. The banda can be secured for the night with 'tented curtains' or left open as desired. All the rooms at this Tanzania lodge have large bathrooms with great outdoor showers, flush toilets and dual washbasins.
The stone walls and floors were all built using stones found in the park, whilst the pebbles used to decorate the top of the sink area were all gathered from the Rufiji River. The central areas at Beho Beho are open sided and spacious, with plenty of sofas to relax in and admire the view on your Tanzania safari. The soft furnishings such as the Persian rugs are full of character and eccentricity, as is the full-size slate-bedded billiards table.
The swimming pool and its sundeck also command a spectacular view across the valley – and you can often spot Tanzania game from the veranda. There are a few comfortable loungers as well as a small lounge area under thatch, which is great for relaxing out of the heat of the day. Near the bar, there is an interesting library with old maps and prints, and many historical artefacts found on the nearby World War 1 battlefield.
