Observe the Carnivore Care Centre programme and learn more about the protected carnivores, including cheetah and leopard.
The protected animals are radio-collared to enable tracking. Go on guided game drives led by expert guides.
These guided drives take place in the Okonjima Nature Reserve after dinner. Venture out into the nature reserve in search of the nocturnal wildlife, such as bat-eared foxes, aardwolves and the elusive leopard on the prowl.
This radio-tracking activity takes place by foot, alongside a trained guide. Sightings may include the rehabilitated cheetahs, leopards, wild dogs and spotted hyenas.
Self-guided hiking trails in Okonjima Nature Reserve are accessible during your stay. Walking trails cover distances of 4-6kms.
The area is host to an abundance of bird species, including special species such as Ruppell’s Parrot, Damara Hornbill, the Rockrunner and the White-tailed Shrike.
