Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge
Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

A Tanzania safari at the Serengeti Serena Lodge is a wonderful African wildlife experience for the whole family.

Your Serengeti National Park Safari in Tanzania Experience

  • A ringside seat at the annual migration of the Wildebeest
  • Action-packed Big Five game drives and safari programme
  • Wildlife and wilderness talks nightly
  • Adjacent to the famous Western Corridor and Grumeti River

Set high on a ridge and commanding panoramic views across the Serengeti, this Tanzania safari lodge offers traditional Big Five game drives, and a great seat overlooking the annual migration.

The Serengeti National Park is home to all the members of 'The Big Five' (Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo), but also over one million Wildebeest, Zebra and Thompson's gazelles and their attendant cast of predators during the annual migration between June and November.

On a Tanzania safari with Serengeti Serena Lodge, guests enjoy spectacular game drives in custom-built open-sided six-person vehicles. The drives offer comfort, panoramic viewing, dedicated safari guides, on-board refreshments and radio-links for fast location of game.

Traditionally, early morning game-drives are followed by breakfast, and late afternoon drives can be timed to coincide with sundowners in the bush. The game drives are well suited for families. Guided game and nature walks are designed to offer gentle exercise and fascinating insights into the world of African trees, flowers, insects, reptiles, unique bird-life and animals.

One of the most magically memorable of the Serengeti experiences is an early morning balloon safari drifting over the plains, dipping down at the Hippo pools of the Grumeti River and enjoying a bird's eye view of the wildlife theatre below. This excursion is followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush.

Other thrilling bush meals can be arranged at various scenic view sites either on the plains or on a bluff overlooking the Mbingwe Valley, venue for the annual wildebeest migration. Guests enjoy game drives on the way to the site and on the return to the lodge.
