This Tanzania safari lodge is a fusion of traditional African architecture and world-class style for travellers of today
Serengeti Serena Lodge has been designed to blend completely into the living landscape whilst offering modern comforts and services. Traditional domed ‘rondavels' are widely spaced throughout the grounds of this Tanzania safari lodge. On the very edge of the ridge is a ‘vanishing horizon' pool, which provides panoramic views over the ‘endless plains' after which the Serengeti is named.
Each double storey stone-built and thatched ‘Rondavel' offers 2 en-suite rooms (one up, one down). The rooms feature their own private balcony, private entrance, spacious bedroom, natural stone bathroom and intricately carved furniture. The grounds of this Tanzania safari lodge are cooled by groves of acacia trees and watered by sparkling streams.
The Serengeti Suite is set apart from the other rooms and has private access, sumptuous furnishings, a spacious bedroom with king-size bed, walk-in mosquito net, dressing area, marble en-suite bathroom, sitting room with stunning views, fully stocked mini-bar, digital multi-channel TV, direct dial telephone, 24-hour room service and fruit and wine on arrival.
The two-tier dining area of the main lodge is linked by shaded walkways and clustered around the roaring furnace of the central circular barbecue arena. Buffet breakfast and lunch, table d’hôte dinner and a full bar service are available. Outside is a circular terrace, which looks out over the grounds towards the pool.
