Your South Africa Safari Experience

This 4 day South Africa tour in the Londolozi Private Game Reserve in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve is ideal for couples and travellers who enjoy luxurious holidays. Travelling to this Sabi Sand safari lodge is made easy with direct flights to the private lodge. Located on the western border of the Kruger National Park, Londolozi benefits from an area that is naturally wildlife-rich.

Located amongst towering trees along the Sand River are the luxurious granite suites of Londolozi. The reserve has a history so diverse and interesting that dates back to over 80 years ago. The reserve and the camps have been in the same family for generations, so as to maintain the highest standards. Once you are settled in, your ranger will take you on your first game drive. Driving through the bush and absorbing the sights, sounds and smells of the bush will bring you to the reality that you are on an African safari. Your guide is well trained and professional, and knows the ins and outs of the wild.

In addition to the variety of animals that can be spotted, birds are prolific in the area and the plant life is very different as you move throughout the reserve. At night, you can participate in divine dinners and climb into a comfortable bed dressed in the best quality linen. The mornings feature early game drives or bush walks, followed by a hearty breakfast. The afternoons can be spent at your leisure, lazing at your private pool, enjoying a convivial drink at the bar, looking at the various historical displays or indulging in one of the optional spa treatments.

Day 1: Johannesburg - Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve

Upon arrival at Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport, you will board a connecting flight to Sabi Sands South. At the bush airstrip, a lodge representative will welcome you and take you on a road transfer to Londolozi Private Granite Suites.

Situated on granite hills, this Londolozi Private Game Reserve safari lodge in Mpumalanga affords great views overlooking the Sand River. Views can be enjoyed from your private viewing deck that is separated from your suite only by glass sliding doors. Your air-conditioned en-suite also has a private plunge pool, outdoor bath with views of the river and other modern amenities. This exclusive-use safari lodge will provide the ultimate luxury retreat for you and your family or friends.

Whether you prefer a peaceful day at the lodge or wish to escape into the wilderness, this deluxe safari lodge in South Africa has it all. From optional yoga sessions and massage treatments, to adventurous activities in the bush, there's something for everyone. Bush dining is an essential part of your stay in the wild as it allows you to indulge in culinary delights while being completely surrounded by an enthralling natural setting.

Day 2-3: Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve

Wake up to the sounds of an awakening bush, with birds chirping as the herds gather. Prepare yourself for a day of adventure and don't forget your camera as you embark on your first game-viewing activity for the day - a sunrise game drive. Game drives are a highlight of your stay in the bush.

Venturing out into an area of 16 000 hectares, the drives are taken by professional rangers and trackers. Two daily game drives - a sunrise and a sunset drive - will allow you to see a variety of animals, including the famous Big Five, and often nocturnal creatures can be spotted as they prepare for a night of hunting. Bush walks lead safari-goers to a dry riverbed. On the trail, there are endless animal, insect, bird and plant species that can be discovered.

Tracking animal spoor is a skill that comes naturally to most bush natives. Alongside an experienced guide, venture out into the bush and search for large mammals and predators by tracking the footprints that have been left behind. Birding is another activity that can be enjoyed on foot. Londolozi has an approximate amount of 450 bird species, making it an ornithologist's dream.

Experience the traditional culture of a nearby Shangaan village during a village visit, or watch a selection of environment videos at the John Varty Cinematography Centre.

Spend your evenings learning about the starlit sky during an astronomy lecture taught by knowledgeable rangers. Relax around the fire and enjoy post-dinner drinks while engaging in a storytelling session with the staff members and fellow guests. If you prefer a private dinner, enquire about special options with one of the staff members who will gladly set up a candlelit dinner for two.
