Mkulumadzi is set in the Majete Wildlife Reserve, home to the elusive Black Rhino, Elephant, Buffalo, Nyala, Sable, Eland and Hartebeest. This beautiful Malawi Safari Lodge offers a friendly welcome and many home comforts.
Majete Wildlife Reserve encompasses a vast region of mature woodland and granite hills, picturesque river valleys and dense forest. The successful reintroduction of game continues at Majete with plans to bring in Lion, Leopard and Cheetah in the near future as part of a pioneering conservation project. Game drives and walking safaris are offered in the mornings and late afternoons, giving guests plenty of time to relax beside the pool, gaze at the resident bird population or listen to the grunt of Hippos wallowing in the river.
This little known reserve offers a sense of adventure and visitors will feel like they are delving into new and exciting territory at every turn. Guests of this Malawi safari lodge arrive by a footbridge suspended over the Mkulumadzi River.
Mkulumadzi Lodge has a restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining, a lounge and terrace, a bar and shop, swimming pool, viewing deck and a lapa for evening campfires. Afternoon tea is served on the terrace and on most nights dinner is served in the open under starry skies.
