Game Viewing Activities at Mvuu Camp

River safaris are the specialty at Mvuu Camp, and they offer a great way to see wildlife activity such as Elephants bathing.

Activities at Mvuu Camp include exciting game drives in an open vehicle, which provides the chance to see many of the regions animals, including the Big Five. Liwonde National Park is the only park in Malawi where you can see the Big Five. Night drives are a wonderful way to see some of Africa’s nocturnal animals such as Serval, Civet, Mongoose and Genets.

Boating safaris allow you to explore river life, while bush walks led by experienced guides provide you with the opportunity to spot some of the regions amazing birdlife. There is a Black Rhino re-introduction program, and it is possible (with special permission) to visit the Rhino sanctuary in the park, which also contains Liechtenstein's Hartebeest and Buffalo.

You can also stay around the camp and cool off with a dip in the stunning natural-rock swimming pool, or read a book on your own private wooden deck. During the drier months the area has a high concentration of Elephants, Hippos and Crocodiles, so there is ample game viewing within the lodge vicinity.
