Day 1: Arrive in Malawi’s only Big Five Park
On day 1 of your Malawi safari vacation package you will arrive at Lilongwe where you will be met and assisted through customs and transfer by air to Majete Airstrip. At the Airstrip you will meet a representative who will take you on a leisurely excursion to Mkulumadzi, where you will spend the next 3 nights. Upon arrival, the friendly and attentive staff will assist you to your Majete Reserve accommodation. Freshen up and enjoy a light lunch before your daily game viewing activities begin.
Embark on an exciting game drive to track an abundance of game in the Majete Game Reserve, accompanied by a professional game guide. Stop for a refreshing sundowner and spot nocturnal animals on your way back to Mkulumadzi. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner and enjoy a peaceful night's rest at your chalet accommodation.
Day 2-3: Experience thrilling wildlife encounters
Wake up and sip a fragrant cup of tea and venture on an early morning game drive. Along with your professional guide in a specialized safari vehicle. Track a myriad of fauna and flora. After your game excursion, return to your Majete Game Reserve accommodation and delight a hearty breakfast. Along with a armed ranger, explore the bush on foot and spot a profusion of birds and learn about the diverse plant species.
For guests who want to learn more about the the local culture, can spend their afternoon leisure at the nearby village and community centre. After a delicious lunch, journey on a boating safari on the pristine Shire River. Observe hippo, elephant, crocodile and other wildlife as you make your way through the river. Witness the magical African sunset and experience fine bush dining under the stars.
Days 4: Travel to Monkey Bay and Lake Malawi
Day 5 - 7: Discover the Lake Malawi shoreline
Optional activities you can enjoy on your Malawi Beach holiday include speed-boating, waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing, snorkeling and diving. Late in the afternoon enjoy a sunset cruise over Lake Malawi in the hand-built dhow. Relish traditional Malawi meals at the alfresco restaurant around a crackling fire.
