Elephant's Eye Hwange is located in Hwange National Park, the northwest corner of Zimbabwe. Covering an area the size of Belgium, Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe's biggest national park. The park is home to a vast bounty of wildlife including all the members of the Big 5, and other protected species like the gemsbok and brown hyena.
The most unique features of the Hwange National Park are the shallow pans and natural salt licks. Your tracker-guides will take you here during 4x4 game drives as animals. Especially elephants, flock here from the adjoining Kalahari wilderness to curb their cravings for something salty.
As for the camp itself, Elephant's Eye Hwange Lodge offers treehouse-style tented chalets that blend effortlessly into the surrounding bush. Each opens out onto a wrap-around deck with uninterrupted views of the nearby watering hole. If you want to immerse yourself in these natural surroundings, opt for a night at The Eye. This raised bed is located right above the waterhole where you can sleep directly under the stars and wake to the sounds of animals coming for their morning drink.
The service at Elephant's Eye is top-notch, while the facilities at camp are second to none. When not exploring the bush on game drives and bush walks, the on-site restaurant, private Jwapi spa, and pool area are just some of the places to kick-back and relax.
