Domwe Island is an affordable, eco friendly, self catering getaway situated in Southern Lake Malawi. It is one of the largest islands in the lake and forms part of the Lake Malawi National Park.

Domwe Adventure Camp offers rustic self catering accommodation in the middle of beautiful Lake Malawi. There is a well equipped kitchen and two full time staff members to assist you, but you need to provide your own provisions.

Accommodation at the camp consists of three fully furnished safari tents and two campsites. There is a comfortable, spacious dining and bar area overlooking a pretty natural beach. Due to its eco friendly nature, the camp is lit by paraffin lamps and solar power.

There are many fantastic water activities available while staying at Domwe Island Snorkelling or scuba diving are a must as Lake Malawi is known to be one of the best fresh water dive sites in the world, and the lake has many pretty coloured fish called Cichlids. Kayaking around the inlets and islands is also a popular pastime.
