Location of Machaba Camp

Machaba Camp is ideally located on the banks of the Khwai River in Botswana and enjoys wonderful wildlife sightings.

Located in the 180 000 hectare game rich Khwai Concession, Machaba Camp is ideal for for those on a north eastern Okavango safari. Machaba Camp is situated adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve and the name derives from the local Setswana name for the Sycamore Tree - meaning tree of life.

The Machaba trees bear an abundance of fruit that attracts wildlife such elephant. Baboons, bush buck, green pigeons and many more can be seen flocking to the trees. In the lush Mopane forests you can catch a glimpse of antelope such as Roan, Sable, Kudu, Tsessebe, Wildebeest and Zebra. Keep an eye open for predators on the lurk - lion, hyena and wild dog.
