On Kenya Safari at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge

Sarova Lion Hill Lodge is a beautiful retreat set in Lake Nakuru National Park - home to thousands of pink Flamingos and pelicans, a rich concentration of Kenya wildlife and a famed Rhino sanctuary. Guests on a Kenya safari can see Black and White Colobus Monkeys and the truly unique image of a Rhino backed by a mirage of pastel pink Flamingos on a shimmering soda lake.

Lake Nakuru National Park is full of unusual environments including strange cactus-like Euphorbia trees and eerie forests of tall flaky-barked Fever trees. It has also become renowned for its daytime Leopard sightings. On a Kenya safari, guests can look for temperamental Black Rhinos in the bushes, and larger White Rhinos cropping the grass along the lakeside.

The area surrounding Lake Nakuru is alive with big cats, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Eland and many other antelope species as well as over 450 bird species. This region of ecological diversity includes lake water, woodland, bush grassland and rocky ridges. Around the lake guests can see flamingos, a wide range of waders including Avocet and large rafts of Pelican sweeping the water in unison.

There are well marked driving tracks around the lake and all over the park for a great self-drive safari in your own vehicle or you can hire one with a guide from the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Sundowners and bush meals can be arranged in scenic spots near your Kenya safari lodge, or guests can head off for a picnic at Baboon Cliff.
