Tsavo’s “Red Elephants” are world renowned, these African giants number up to 12 000 and acquire their ochre red colour from the dust and mud. Many other game animals can also be seen such as Giraffe, Wildebeest and Eland.

A green oasis, Finch Hattons enjoys a superb position on the south western edge of Tsavo West National Park, Kenya. This Kenya game lodge is located alongside three pools which are fed by an underground spring. Apart from the resident pod of Hippo, guests can observe other wildlife around the pools or grazing in the camp, there are no fences and the animals roam freely. Birding is very good in this area.

This Kenyan game lodge occupies a 35 acre concession. Tsavo encompasses 10 million acres of untouched wilderness with fresh water springs, open savannah, montane and riverine forests. The sheer size of Tsavo is what sets it apart from other Kenya National Parks and Reserves. On game drives, guests will rarely see other people or vehicles.
