Things to do at Loldia House

Game viewing, bird watching, Lake Naivasha boat safaris, visits to Hell's Gate and Lake Nakuru are among the Great Rift Valley activities available at Loldia House on a safari in Kenya.

On Loldia farm's 6, 500 acres, guests may walk or ride through herds of dairy and beef cattle and a flock of farmed ostriches, interspersed with Impala, Waterbuck and other plains game.

Boat safaris on Lake Naivasha are ideal for fishing and bird watching as there are over 400 species of birds in the area. Visits can be made to Hell's Gate National Park with its spectacular canyon, hot springs and abundant wildlife. Activities can be tailor-made to suit each guest while staying at Loldia House.

Many territorial Topi males can be seen standing out like ninepins within their territories or more correctly termed ‘Leks’ while females and young moving out to areas with better-drained soils and fresh grasses. Commonly seen on the grassland plains and scampering between termitarias are the Banded and Dwarf mongoose the two gregarious and diurnal species of mongooses.

Other diurnal species seen is the solitary slender tail mongoose and the larger Egyptian mongoose. During game activities you can see a variety of Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Giraffe, Elephant and Cape buffalo.
