Mumbo Island has an eco camp which consists of thatched roofs which shade comfortable tented suites. Each has its own en-suite bathroom with eco loos. Each suite has its own private deck which has beautiful views out over Lake Malawi.
The rooms have no power and are lit by solar power and paraffin lamps. This Lake Malawi accommodation is decorated by locals and as much furniture as possible has been sourced locally. The lodge tries to sources as much produce locally as possible. There is a comfortable dining area, with a bar, a lovely lounge under the baobab tree gazebo which is perfect for sundowners.
