Where is Jongomero Camp, Ruaha

Jongomero is on the banks of the Jongomero River in the second largest park in Tanzania, a remote part of southwestern Ruaha National Park.

Jongomero is set along the banks of the seasonal Jongomero river, in Ruaha National Park, Southern Tanzania. From Dar es Salaam, Jongomero is around a 12-hour drive. A two hour charter flight to a nearby airstrip, from where the camp is only a 2km drive.

The Ruaha National Park is a genuine African wilderness and one of the most unspoiled, off-the-beaten-path wildlife havens in Africa. It should be on the travel bucket list of any wildlife fan because it is in the South of Tanzania, off the beaten path for tourists.

The life-giving great Ruaha River and other rivers that run through the park enrich the whole experience.
