The Masai Mara is a unique area with a constant and unrivalled flow of wildlife throughout the year. From July to October the Mara becomes a backdrop for one of the last great natural wonders of the world, when 1. 5 million Wildebeest and Zebra surge up from the Serengeti plains in their annual search for the seasonal grasses that sustain them.
The spectacle, as the vast herds cross rivers and sweep through the golden grasses, is punctuated by individual struggles with predators, which in turn take their part in this dramatic event. Whilst the migration is spectacular, game viewing at all other times of the year remains almost unrivalled anywhere in Africa.
Backed by Governors' Family of Camps extensive resources and a comprehensive selection of activities, this is the ultimate Kenya safari. Guests benefit from outstanding guides and trackers whose knowledge of the Masai Mara is unsurpassed. Three exiting game drives per day are included in the daily rate.
Experiences include game viewing in customised 4x4 vehicles, walking safaris, balloon safaris, specialist guiding in ornithology and photography and also meals and sundowners in the bush. During game activities you can see Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Giraffe, Elephant, Cape Buffalo and Eland amongst other plains game. Many territorial Topi males can be seen standing within their territories or more correctly termed 'Leks'.
A minimum 3 night stay is required. Preventative malaria medication is recommended.
