Location of Serengeti Safari Camp

Pre-planned camp relocations occur within the Serengeti National Park to allow views as the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra take place.

Starting at Lamai Serengeti, Serengeti Safari Camp moves along the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park to witness an uninterrupted view of the Great Migration. The movements are pre-planned so guests experience no moving during their stay.

From December to March, the calving season occurs in the southern Serengeti. The herds then begin to move towards the south central Serengeti between April and May. June and July witnesses the herds crossing the Grumeti River in the Serengeti western corridor. An exhilarating game viewing showcase takes place as the resident crocodile populations prey on the migrating herds. Between August and November, the herds need to cross the Mara River in the northern Serengeti in order to complete their migration.

It is important to note that although migration trends have been noticed, the occurrence remains a natural and unpredictable phenomenon. Serengeti National Park has resident wildlife populations that provide game viewing expeditions that remain unrivalled.
