Location of Time + Tide Chinzombo

Time + Tide Chinzombo is situated in the Eastern Province of Zambia, near the South Luangwa National Park. Set within 60 acres of Luangwa River frontage, the private land can be enjoyed peacefully and without interruption.

Zambia is situated in South Central Africa and this landlocked country is neighboured by eight other countries. Chinzombo is located in the Luangwa Valley, a mere 1 hour from Mfuwe Airport. Chinzombo is set on private land of 60 acres, adorned by Luangwa river frontage.

The Luangwa River can be seen from the villas and can be crossed to reach the South Luangwa National Park. The park is a game-rich area that affords sightings of a diverse list of wildlife species including elephants, hippos, predators and impala.

Best Time to Visit South Luangwa

Time + Tide Chinzombo is open all year and boasts excellent wildlife viewing. The Green Season is from December to April.

The Luangwa River flows at its highest levels during February and March - perfect for boating safaris.

April is great for birdwatching, as many migrant bird species flock to the river at this time.

September to November sees the beautiful carmine bee-eaters nesting on the dry riverbanks.

October and November is the peak dry season when predators such as leopards concentrate around the dwindling water sources.

May to mid-November is the time for superb walking safaris - something the South Luangwa is famous for.
