A suspension bridge across the Talek River allows easy access to the game reserve. Local Maasai guides can meet guests on the other side of the Ilkeliani Camp and proceed for their game drives. Guests can view amazing wildlife, including possible Big Five sightings, during exhilarating game drives through the African bush in the safety of an open 4x4 vehicle.

Wildlife sightings often include lions, cheetahs, elephant, buffalo, giraffe and the Mara and Talek rivers are home to numerous hippo and crocodile. Birdwatchers can delight in sightings of some of the 550 recorded bird species.

The Great Wildebeest Migration

Experience Mother Nature at her best as you witness the Great annual Wildebeest and Zebra Migration during July-October. These animals take the formidable journey every year after the long rains; crossing the Crocodile infested Mara River into the rich green pastures of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. This is a unique and inspirational experience that will leave guests with a greater respect and admiration for these amazing creatures.

Hot Air Balloon Safari

At an additional charge, you can drift above the Mara plains under a canopy of bright colours. A hot air balloon ride is an unforgettable activity that offers spectacular photographic opportunities of the large herds roaming below.

Community Visits

An optional visit to the nearby villages will allow guests to witness the unchanged lifestyle of the local Masai people.
