How to get there
Situated on the Oloololo Escarpment with breathtaking views of the park below, Mara West Camp offers an unforgettable Kenya Safari in Masai Mara National Park. The camp is situated just 5km (3.10 miles) from the Oloololo gate to the Park, and approximately 4.5 hours drive from Nairobi
Fly-In
Daily scheduled flights from Nairobi to Mara West Camp are available. A 45 minute flight from Nairobi Wilson Airport on Safari Link, Air Kenya, or private charter will get you to Kichwa Tembo’s airstrip where you will be collected by Mara West staff members.
By Road
Drive along the Nairobi-Narok Road to Narok, and then drive for approximately 30 minutes towards Kisi
Turn onto the C-13 towards the Oloololo Gate / Kichwa Tembo
Drive approximately 80km (50 miles) through the Lamek wheat fields and over the Koiyak Group Ranch plains, over the Mara River Bridge, past Kichwa Tembo to the bottom of the Oloololo Escarpment
Turn up the hill towards Logorian
The Mara West Camp sign is 10 minutes after the top of the hill on the left.
