Location of Salas Camp in Masai Mara

Wide-open spaces and a high concentration of free roaming wildlife are among the reasons thousands of guests flock to Masai Mara for a Kenya safari.

Sala's Camp is located in the wild corner of Kenya’s southern section of Masai Mara National Reserve. The Sand and Keekorok confluence attracts wildlife galore, making it a superb wildlife viewing destination.

Sala's Camp is a seasonal camp and closes from mid-April until the end of May inclusive and all of November due to the rainy seasons.

Best Time to Visit

In the vast Masai Mara - located 5 000ft above sea level - days are hot and nights are cool. Masai Mara usually experiences seasonal rainfall in April and May and again in November, although sporadic rainfall can occur at any time during the year.

Game viewing in the Masai Mara is exceptional year round, but from December to March, elephant sightings are extraordinary. In June, the Great Migration begins to arrive in the Masai Mara and usually stay until mid-September.
