Profusion of birds

Bird watchers will be kept enthralled by the 570 recorded bird species that build nests in the acacia trees and habitat in the riverine forest of the Masai Mara. Guided bush walks explore the birdlife and other wildlife in the valley, as well as in the forests, springs and mountains surrounding the lodge.

Area

Saruni Wild enjoys a prime position in the Mara North Conservancy in the south of Kenya. This conservancy is a 30 000 hectare private wilderness area that is home to an impressive amount of fauna and flora species.

The area surrounding the lodge is completely peaceful, with minimal disturbance from vehicles and high volumes of tourists. Game viewing excursions can be enjoyed in a natural setting, where animals are unstressed and their natural behavior can be observed.
